What I do
As a Designer, I want to help democratize tech by creating accessible, usable, and context-aware design.
I am a Senior UX Designer with 7+ years of experience in software design (and 10+ designing content, facilitating, and working with international clients). I lead design teams and mentor junior designers, both in design and client-facing skills. I define and execute the following phases of the product design process:
• Define and understand a problem space.
• Gather business, technical, data, and functional requirements.
• Define use cases and flows.
• UI design, prototyping, and testing.
• Write UX copy.
• Perform a handoff to developers, as well as the implementation lifecycle and constant evolution.
My career in software design has consisted mostly of designing backend tools for complex workflows in industries like sports and entertainment media, and wide internal communications. I have also developed office tools for Wizeline, chatbots, design systems and components library, and mentored junior designers.
I am a great interviewer (people have recognized my ability to make intelligent questions), and used this skill for hiring, research, and product/tool definition purposes. This also makes me a competent presenter, facilitator, and communicator.
Besides, I ensure that the content is accessible, understandable, and requires little to no revisions. Whether it is UX copy, research findings, product definition, or design documentation like user stories or concept maps.
I feel perfectly at home working in English or Español.
Where I’d like to take my career
I see myself as the following:
Leading UX pods to get work done from definition to execution to validation.
Defining and employing metrics for product evolution.
Improving team practices and participating in scoping of a stakeholder’s problem space to assess the design effort, contribution levels, and expectations needed to bring about clarity and next steps.
Empowering other designers to do their best job and the best version of their craft.
The place I want to work at looks like this
A relatively mature UX or Product Design team with established processes and notions, where I am empowered to aid in constant improvement, but not to build a new UX process from the ground up for a company with no previous Design experience. Rather, I want to profit from an established infrastructure that frees me up to do my best work.
I’m looking for a management team that actively helps me improve myself, that provides positive and constructive feedback, and helps me detect my strengths and foster them to build growth plans.
